Apache Tears

These pieces of Apache Tears measure approximately 4cm x 3cm x 2cm, but each will vary slightly.

Apache Tears are actually a form of obsidian, a volcanic glass that, in their case, cooled so quickly they did not crystalise.  They contain trapped water vapour bubbles which gives them their satin-like finish, not the shiny look of typical obsidian.

Apache Tears are a grounding and protective crystal and are best known as a healing stone for grief and sorrow.  They are associated with the root chakra (for security) and the heart chakra (emotional healing) and are said to emotionally cleanse and purify to open the heart and move forward with a sense of safety and security.  Apache Tears opens one to the nature spirits, balances the chakras and raises one’s psychic attunement.  These are a beautiful companion for those who are going through a period of loss, sorrow and grief.

Healing Apache Tears are said to vitalise and purify the blood, stimulate hair and nail growth, boost the immune system and calm type A personalities. They are believed to expel snakebite venom, eliminates toxins and help to assimilate vitamin C and D.
