Desert Rose

These Desert Rose specimens measure approximately 3.5cm in diameter but each will vary slightly.

Desert Rose is a unique creation mostly made up of gypsum or barite and are generally found in arid environments.  These crystals get their name from their unique rose-like shape that is formed from wet desert sand combining with evaporated mineral solutions. They are also known as Sand Roses or Sahara Desert Roses.

Desert Rose is said to symbolise new beginnings and can assist in personal change.  It is used to enhance love and encourage ‘working together’. It helps you to go for your dreams without doubts, encourages friendship, harmony and clears away negative fears about being yourself, giving you personal freedom. Desert Rose brings calm and self-assurance.
