Tibetan Silver Chakra Caduceus Pentacle Pendant
$29.00
This unique
pendant is hand-crafted from Tibetan silver and features chakra-coloured stones
and an antiqued-look finish. It measures about 4.5cm long and 3.5cm in
diameter.
The caduceus origin
was based in Greek mythology and was known as the staff carried by Hermes, the
messenger god and protector of merchants, travellers, and messengers. The
intertwined snakes symbolised balance and division, reflecting the unsolidified
nature of negotiation and trade.
In Roman culture,
however, the caduceus was associated with Mercury, Hermes’ counterpart. It
frequently appeared in sculptures, mosaics, and coinage to signify prosperity
and divine favour.
