Sterling Silver Cross Necklace

Crosses are a very popular item in jewellery, and this necklace certainly features a beautiful one.  Crafted from 925-sterling silver this necklace incorporates a 45cm snake chain strung with a solid sterling silver cross of approximately 4cm x 3cm.

Sterling silver is a metal composed by weight of 92.5% silver and 7.5% other metals, usually copper.  Fine silver, which is 99.9% pure silver, is relatively soft, so silver is usually alloyed with copper to increase its hardness and strength. Sterling silver is widely used in jewellery making for its affordability (compared to gold), its hardness and durability.
